Marc Adams appointed general manager at Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa
Crerar Hotels has appointed Marc Adams as general manager at the four-star Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa.
Before joining the team at the popular island hotel this month, esteemed hospitality leader Marc, was the General Manager at Hotel Collessio in Stirling as well as GM at Loch Rannoch Hotel, Estate and Spa which was formerly part of Macdonald Hotels before it was privately sold in 2020. Following the sale, Marc led the full refurbishment at the four-star estate.
Marc, originally from Dundee, has more than twenty-five years’ experience in the sector, with a variety of experience in family-run and large chain hotels. Prior to Hotel Collessio and Loch Rannoch Hotel, he also worked at Cardrona Hotel Golf & Spa, Peebles, and the five-star Rusacks, St Andrews.
He is joining Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa at an exciting time as the hotel, which is part of Crerar Hotels Group, just welcomed Executive Chef Noel Escobal who has recently returned to lead the kitchen at Òran na Mara, the hotel’s renowned bistro. The hotel was also recently refurbished and upgraded as part of a £4million investment including the launch of Driftwood Spa and the Wilderness Deck.
Marc Adams said: “It gives me great pleasure to take on the reins at Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa, it is certainly a gem within the Crerar Hotels’ portfolio which I fell in love with the first time I visited.
“My aim as General Manager is to continue to deliver first-class Scottish hospitality which Crerar Hotels is well-known for, and working with the fantastic team at the hotel to ensure guests have an exceptional experience when staying with us.
Chris Wayne-Wills, CEO of Crerar Hotels, added: “I look forward to watching, and being on hand, as Marc settles in at Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa and continues to grow a fantastic team at this award-winning hotel.
“Thanks to his wealth of experience and high skill set, I know guests will be well looked after whether they are staying for a relaxing spa break, enjoying an active staycation or they’re on a romantic island getaway.”
Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa features 75 fully refurbished bedrooms and luxury suites, the popular Òran na Mara Bistro, which offers local produce and dishes inspired by the hotel’s location, and Driftwood Spa. The spa offers ishga treatments, a thermal experience, a 17-metre sea view swimming pool, and the Wilderness Deck.
