Former Scotsman editor Frank O’Donnell joins Charlotte Street Partners

Former Scotsman editor Frank O’Donnell is to join Edinburgh-based strategic communications consultancy Charlotte Street Partners early in the new year.
Mr O’Donnell, whose 25 years’ experience includes editing The Scotsman, Edinburgh Evening News, Scotland on Sunday, The Press and Journal and the Evening Express, will take up the role of senior partner on 8 January 2024.
He joins recent recruit Will Torness – another former journalist who was a news producer within the US broadcast network NBC – and Emma MacAndrews, who will join the firm in January having spent the past year working in the constituency office of Drew Hendry, the SNP MP for Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey.

The appointments follow three recent promotions within the Charlotte Street Partners team. Fergus McGowan has been promoted to senior client manager while Phoebe O’Carroll-Moran and John Cumming are now senior associates.
