Accountancy and business advisory firm Azets has raised £12,258.50 for The Archie Foundation following a range of fundraising efforts.

Azets staff arranged a corporate golf day, a quiz night and a bake sale to support the organisation - which is the firm’s chosen charity of the year.

A cheque was presented to The Archie Foundation’s partnership manager Lynne Brooks last week, the Press and Journal reports.

Lynne Brooks, who received the cheque at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, said: “It is fantastic to receive such a generous donation from the team at Azets. We are grateful to the Azets staff and their clients for choosing to support The Archie Foundation.

“Corporate supporters play a very important role both in providing financial support which enables us to deliver vital support and services to children and their families, and also in raising awareness of The Archie Foundation throughout Scotland.

“Meeting members of the Azets team and telling them about the different ways we provide support to children and their families allowed us to show them just why every penny raised is so important to us.”

David Booth, regional partner of Azets in Aberdeen, added: “We are delighted with the amount we have been able to raise, and hopefully it will make a small difference to what is a truly incredible cause.”
